Winter Casual

Being a Floridian I never took fall fashion seriously because winter in Florida is either really really short or almost non-existance. You wear your coat once or twice then it gets sunny enough to where you can't stand the look of your coat or jacket anymore. This is my first year experiencing winter out of Florida,  and it is oh soo cold! Fall is not only a change in weather, but also a change in color usage and style.

Here I wanted to incorporate colors into my outfit and chose this dark blue jacket in lieu of anything black.

This jacket is fitted and lightweight enough for me to keep warm and layer on top of the many pieces I want to wear underneath it. The texture and details caught my eyes making it a stand out among my  other jackets.

This scarf has been my go to scarf, it pairs so well with a lot of outfits I've been wearing and does its job in keeping me very comfortable. I love the color and feel of it too. Check my previous scarf post.

Sunglasses was first invented to shield the eyes from harmful UV rays. Over the decades this piece of accessory has turned into a fashion statement. The right pair of sunglasses can add an instant chic and style.

Now you understand why I"m in love with this scarf, it's so versatile and pairs so well with this simple strip shirt.

And that's a wrap!

What I"m Wearing
Jacket: Zara (it might still be in stores)
Shoes: Chinese Laundry from Macy's
Shirt: Macy's
Pants: Jeggins from Macy's
Bag: Louis Vuitton Speedy 34
Sunglasses: Prada

2013, It's a Wrap!

Wrapping 2013 up with some of my looks throughout the year. I'm eager and ecstatic to see what 2014 will bring. Since I am in esthetic school at the time being, I am changing the dynamic of my blog and will be gearing it towards holistic beauty and fashion, both areas really go hand in hand. Last but not least, thank you to all my readers and friends! Suggestions, questions, comments please feel free to drop me something. I would love to hear from you guys!  A BIG XOXO

Till my next post!

A huge thank you to Irusianaphotography and 3HStuidoInc for taking my photos! If you are in the New York or Tampa area please check them out for all of your photography needs.

Honey Face Mask for Acneic Skin

I love skincare that you can eat, and the Honey Mask tops my favorite homemade beauty mask. Having acne prone skin, I use this mask at least once a week and swear by it. It has dramatically improved the appearance and quality of my skin, reducing breakouts and evening out my complexion.

Some benefits of honey:
Acne: Honey is a natural antibacterial, so it is great for acne treatment and prevention.
Aging: Full of antioxidants, it is great for slowing down aging.
Complexion boost: It is extremely moisturizing and soothing, so it helps create a glow.
Pores: Honey is clarifying because it opens up pores making them easy to unclog.

1) Cleanse and rinse your face with luke-warm water
2) Pat dry leaving the face a little bit moisten for the honey to glide on
3) Use 2 teaspoon of honey and apply a thin layer using your hands( make sure it is clean) or a fan brush
4) Let the mask sit for 10-20 minutes and then rinse
5) Apply a moisturizer

For sensitive acne skin use
  • 2 teaspoon of honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon of aloe vera

Aloe Vera has soothing properties to help sooth inflammation and calm the skin.

For the moderate to severe acneic skin type, do this mask every single day for a least two weeks to get your skin started. Reduce to twice a week and then once a week. Make sure to drink plenty of water and eat a healthy and nutritious meal!

For best results use unfiltered, raw honey because it is more potent and contains a higher dose of beneficial vitamins to aid the skin.

Louis Vuitton Damier Paillete Speedy

Once in a while I"ll see a designer bag that I'll gush over and be able to move on but when I laid eyes on this beauty, I just couldn't. Louis Vuitton launched the Damier Paillete as part of their Pre-Fall 2013 collection and it is a beauty! The sequins add umph and chic to the bag taking it up a notch while maintaining its sophistication. I saw it in person and it was love at first sight, it is crafted and detailed to perfection! I am especially in love with the red one. Check I"ll Take Both out for live photos.
